Sacred Valley Tour (Full day)

Short Description:
This full day tour takes you to all the most famous and popular parts of the Sacred Valley starting off in the famous town of Pisac. This is a fully guided tour with an english speaking guide who will explain to you all about the different towns and ruins in the Sacred Valley.

Full Itinerary:
You will be picked up at the bottom of the stairs (corner of Arcopata and Cuesta Santa Ana) between 8.30am and 8.45am. However on Sundays you will be picked up at 8am. Your first stop on the trip is the village of Pisac.

Pisac Market:

Pisac is famous for the mass that takes place at its local church, which is spoken in Quechua and for its indigenous market. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional lunch at a villa in the valley, and then in the afternoon, visit the Inca fort and indigenous population of Ollantaytambo.

Pisac Ruins:

After a trip to the market we’ll visit the impressive ruins that formed an ancient citadel and an important agricultural center. Of special note is the ‘Intihuatana,’ or Inka sundial.

Ollantaytambo:
Founded by Ollanta on the banks of the Urubamba River, Ollantaytambo is a fort built into the mountain, with Andean terraces. At the top, we find the Sun Temple, constructed of large blocks that have remained intact for centuries, in spite of the effects of time and weather.

Chinchero Excursion:

Chinchero is famous for its archaeological remains and traditional market as well as its Inca terracing. From here you will return to Cusco at approximately 7.00pm

Note: Tourist Ticket

In addition to the tour price, you must purchase a tourist ticket. A full tourist ticket costs s/130 or s/70 for students with a valid ISIC card. The full tourist ticket is valid for 10 days and allows entry to the majority of the Inca sites around Cusco and the Sacred Valley.
This is a better option if you plan on also combining the city tour, or visiting any of the archeological sites outside the sacred valley
in Cusco.
An alternative option is to buy a partial tourist ticket which is s/70. This is valid for 1 day and will allow entry to all of the sites on the Sacred Valley Tour.
