Itinerary

You will be picked up from Loki at 8am and head by private transport out of Cusco for about 1hr30 until reaching the village of Chinchero at 3650 m.a.s.l. From here you'll get your biking equipment and after going over a few safety procedures the ride begins. During the first part of the ride we'll pass a lake, there are a few up- hills and a some nice downhills with optional single-tracks for those who like it a bit more technical. The scenery is unforgettable with excellent views of the Veronica mountain range. The first main stop will be at the Incan agricultural testing site of Moray (3575 m.a.s.l.) and we'll take a break here to catch our breath and explore the area (entry to Moray is optional, 10 soles - also included on the Tourist Ticket.) Continuing the ride we'll arrive to Maras where we'll have our lunch break. Afer lunch we'll carry on riding to the crystal-white terraces of the pre-Incan salt mines (entry is 5 soles) and then continue on the best downhill of the day  - a 30 minute downhill on a llama path ending on the bank of the Urubamba river (2875 m.a.s.l.). Here we finish the tour and return to Cusco, arriving at approx. 5pm - or for those doing a Machu Picchu by train combo you would continue on to the town of Ollantaytambo to catch your train.
