June is cusco month where all the houses are meant to be painted and inca flags hanging out of the windows with parties leading up to the big celebration on June 24th when "Inti Raymi" which is the festival of the sun that was celebrated by the Incas and huge numbers of people come to cusco for this time and the locals have huge parties in the town and up by sacsayhuaman.

There is also the festival of Corpus Christi around this time as well where you have lots of parades on the streets and plazas with bands and musicians regularly arranged by local authorities.
