Yesterday the some of the Loki Cusco Hostel team visted some of the surrounding areas around Cusco to see first hand the damage done by the floods. The local Peruvian Civil Defence has provided a limited number of basic shelter, which are small tents, and basic medical care. This is vitally important as people in these small Andean towns have lost livelhoods as well as homes. Over the next week Loki Cusco will be organising a number of fund raising events to raise money to help with this relief program. We are also accepting, food, clothes and anything that will assist with the relief effort. Bus transfers to and from Cusco are running normally as well as all scheduled flights.
